| Most major manufacturers are reviewing their existing routes into the market place. One area of concern to manufacturers is the lack of brand loyalty at distribution and installation levels. Brand marketing by manufacturers is inherently risky if the enquiries generated by this advertising investment are not handled through a strong and brand loyal route into the market place. Consequently, brand loyalty must be taken seriously and we should therefore consider establishing a brand strengthening policy with our suppliers to exploit this opportunity. We have already well established relationships with certain suppliers and we should maximise the longevity of a relationship should that manufacturer demonstrate a desire to offer the right products and raise their own market share. CARRIER (Now Toshiba Carrier UK) We are a premier dealer for Carrier. There are only 15 Carrier premier dealers in total. We have been a dealer for 26 years and are, as the longest established dealer, well respected within the Carrier organisation. Our Carrier Regional Sales Manager, Steve Brooks, has an instruction to get work through the dealer structure. Carrier intend to re-establish themselves as the largest British product provider with the Carrier and Toshiba brands and we can only benefit from this relationship. |

TOSHIBA (Now Toshiba Carrier UK) We are one of the top 40 Toshiba Dealers who are house accounts of Toshiba and do not go through the HRP distribution channels other than HRP will deliver orders which we place on Toshiba direct. The Toshiba/Carrier intention to become the leading British product provider will give MacWhirter Limited increased business opportunities. Our Toshiba Regional Sales Manager will support us as the main dealer in his area. Furthermore, he will liaise with the Carrier Product Regional Sales Manager (Steve Brooks) to ensure that no in-fighting between the brands occurs. Toshiba have a very strong National account with many users, in particular Scottish & Newcastle, which is a large MacWhirter client. |

MITSUBISHI MacWhirter Limited are a large user of Mitsubishi products. The Mitsubishi range of VRF systems are a highly advanced product which is not matched by Toshiba Carrier UK. MacWhirter Limited are a major installer of R2 VRF systems. Again, due to our commitments to standards we are highly respected within the Mitsubishi structure. |

AIREDALE Airedale have developed a good long term trading relationship with MacWhirter Limited. We generally use Airedale close control products which are not available from Toshiba Carrier UK or Mitsubishi. |
